Activating Windows 10 with a PIN or key is a new feature introduced in Windows 10, and you’ll need to activate it before using it to start Windows 10.
You’ll need two things: a PIN to activate a new version of Windows 10 (which you’ll unlock later), and a key that you’ll use to activate the new version.
To activate a newly released version of a software product, just hold down the Shift key, then press enter.
For Windows 10 Activation on your PC and Mac, you’ll see a menu.
Press the Activate button on the left-hand side of the menu.
Select your device to activate.
For example, if your device is an iPhone, select iPhone and press the Activate Apple button.
If your device has a SIM card, select it, then tap on the SIM card slot to activate your device.
If you’re on Windows 10 on a PC, press the Control Panel icon on the bottom left corner of the screen, then double-click the Windows icon.
After the activation process is complete, your device should appear on your screen, with a Windows icon in the top right corner.
When you’re ready to start using the new Windows 10 version, tap on Start.
If you’re not using the Anniversary Update (or Anniversary Insider) on your device, press and hold the Windows key to launch the Anniversary Hub.
Once the Windows Hub opens, tap Activate.
Windows 10 will automatically start.
On the Settings page, you can select Activation settings.
Select Enable Windows Update to start the Windows Update Service.
After a few seconds, the service will start to download updates for you.
Tap Continue to finish.
